The mission of E-CET is to develop and promote engineering research and education programs in support of the Energy Transition.
E-CET will provide national-level educational opportunities for college students during Engineering Week and for high-school science teachers during the summer to learn about realistic solutions to the Energy Transition. E-CET will work with business entities to initiate and enhance collaborations that will support the development of both undergraduate and graduate USC students and prepare them for energy careers in academia, government, and industry.
E-CET will engage Faculty at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and other academic units to support the development of research programs related to the Energy Transition. Support will be in the form of seed funding and/or Ph.D. fellowships and domain mentorship for the development of research proposals to sponsoring government agencies and industry partners. The selected programs are targeted to both enhance the current capabilities and expand the formation of focused research and development areas in Energy Transition.
