The colloquium is designed to allow middle school-high school science teachers a unique opportunity to participate in an enriching experience before the start of the new school year. The colloquium focuses on the most important issues related to the science and technology behind providing energy resources in this country and to the world community.
The program is intended to provide science teachers a chance to explore this subject deeply and with a diverse group of academic and industry professionals. The program will include on line seminar style presentations and discussions.
Topics will include:
- Grand challenges in meeting growing the energy demand and energy requirements for clean water resources
- Various sources of Energy and the associated economics
- Environmental aspects and potential solutions
Deadline to apply: 12 PM PDT July 7th, 2020
Those selected who attend the 3 day 12 hour online program will each receive a stipend. CE credit will also be provided to the participants who complete the colloquium.
