CISOFT ALLIANCE WINS OCEC 2013 ENGINEERING PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD

The USC Center for Interactive Smart Oilfield Technologies (CiSoft) and the center's executive director, Professor Iraj Ershaghi, were recently recognized at the 2013 Orange County Engineering Council (OCEC) Awards Banquet where they received the OCEC Engineering Project of the Year award. The CiSoft Alliance, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, was one of 25 projects nominated for the award, which falls within OCEC’s Engineering Project Achievement Award category. CiSoft is a USC-Chevron Center of Excellence for Research and Academic Training on Interactive Smart Oilfield Technologies and was selected for its impact on the educational accomplishment of engineering students. The center was established in December 2003 and includes participating research scientists from various departments within USC, the Viterbi School, and Chevron.
