A Gift From Chevron Corporation

October 29, 2011 —

October 29, 2011 was a great day for the USC Trojans not only for their extraordinary performance at the USC vs Stanford football game, but also for the generous gift given to them by Chevron Corporation. Due to its faith in USC’s academic curriculum and talented student body, Chevron presented a check to the university on behalf of Chevron’s University Partnership Program (UPP), a multi-year collaboration that aims to provide financial assistance to under-represented minority engineering students, undergraduate scholarships, Masters and PhD fellowships, and funding for research regarding sustainable energy supply systems in order to systematically address new steps in the education of engineers. In addition, Chevron’s gift to USC will also provide funds for furthering the development of the CiSoft Collaboration/Visualization Center and Test Lab, the CiSoft Academy, future field trips, and CiSoft’s outreach summer camp for high school students interested in the field of engineering.
